Product Description

The Fokker Dr.I triplane saw widespread service in the spring of 1918. It became renowned as the aircraft in which Manfred von Richthofen, the “Red Baron” gained his last 19 victories. The Dr.I offered exceptional maneuverability, due to the rudder and elevator controls that were light and powerful. Thanks to the exceptional skill of the Red Baron and his “Flying Circus”, the Dr.I triplane has entered the popular imagination as the most famous and iconic airplane of WW1.

Designed to be used with the popular air combat game system created by Andrea Angiolino and Pier Giorgio Paglia, each WW1 Wings of Glory® Airplane Pack is a ready-to-play model, painted and assembled, 100% compatible with any other WW1 Wings of Glory game product. In each pack you will find all you need to play with the airplane: a special base with gaming stats, a variable altitude flying stand, and a specific deck of maneuver cards.

  1. Optical illusion 4 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Apr 2013

This is an interesting plane that was called the Optical Illusion by the pilots of Jasta 4. the Wings of War Dr I models had Propellers and wheels that rotated, but Wings of Gorie version has a pilot figure that gives a more realistic appearance when viewed from above. This aircraft was also flown by Ernst Udet.
